PML-N Riyadh hosts event honoring focal person of Overseas Pakistanis Ghulam Mustafa Malik
RIYADH, April 2 (SABAH): A reception dinner hosted by Adnan Iqbal Butt, President of Pakistan Muslim League (N) Riyadh Region, in honor of Ghulam Mustafa Malik, the focal person for the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Ministry of Religious Affairs. The event was organized by Waqar Naseem Wamiq, President of Aalmi Halqa-e-Fikrofunn and Acting President of Pak Media Forum. Representatives from the Pakistani Embassy and community actively participated.
During the event, Ghulam Mustafa Malik emphasized the importance of overseas Pakistanis as an asset to the country. He highlighted initiatives like the establishment of overseas courts under the Shahbaz Sharif government, which aim to resolve cases within 30 days, and the introduction of e-filing for property-related issues. He assured attendees that addressing the concerns of overseas Pakistanis remains a top priority for the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Federal Minister Chaudhry Salik Hussain.
Ghulam Mustafa Malik also mentioned an MOU between OPF and NAB to tackle fraud against overseas Pakistanis, the establishment of airport facilitation desks, and expected relaxation in PTA regulations regarding mobile phones.
Adnan Iqbal Butt praised the Ministry’s efforts and noted that Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and the Pakistan Muslim League (N) have consistently prioritized the issues of overseas Pakistanis. He also commended the establishment of the Punjab Overseas Pakistanis Commission under Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s leadership, with Barrister Amjad Malik working diligently to address concerns.
The event featured speeches by Waqar Naseem Wamiq, Mirza Munir Baig, Makhdoom Amin Tajir, Chaudhry Sajjad Ali Jatt, Qazi Muhammad Ishaq Memon, Mirza Ahmed Baig, and others. Renowned poet Kamran Hassani recited patriotic poetry, earning widespread appreciation.
