PM Shehbaz thanks President of UAE for providing aid worth $50 miln & PM Muhammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum for aid of 50 miln UAE dirhams


LAHORE/QUETTA, Sep 04 (SABAH): Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has expressed gratitude to the Government of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for sending a plane of relief items for the flood victims.

He was talking to the Director of Affairs of the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Lahore on Sunday.

The Prime Minister thanked President of UAE Muhammad bin Zayed Al Nahyan for providing aid worth $50 and Prime Minister Muhammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum for the aid of 50 million UAE dirhams.

Meanwhile Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo has thanked Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif for his continuous support to flood-ravaged areas of the province.

He stated this while briefing the Prime Minister about the flood relief operations in Bolan on Sunday.

Abdul Quddus Bizenjo said the special interest of the Prime Minister for the restoration of communication facilities is a source of encouragement for us. He hoped NHA will play its role for the full restoration of other affected highways as well.

Apprising the prime minister regarding the restoration of Panjara Bridge, the Chief Minister said the recent heavy rains and floods caused severe damage to the national highway network in Balochistan and its restoration will help resume the traffic and trade activities in Balochistan.
