PM Shehbaz says structural, economic reforms required to pull country of crisis

LAHORE, July 15 (SABAH): Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has said that drastic structural and economic reforms are need of hour to steer country out of crises.

Shehbaz expressed these views during a meeting with office-bearers of Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry and renowned businessmen and industrialists in Lahore on Saturday evening.

The Prime Minister asked industrialists and business community to play their role more actively for enhancing exports and stabilizing the economy.

Prime Minister said that it was a collective responsibility of the government, business community and affluent people to think about the poverty-stricken and impoverished strata of society.

Sharing his telephonic conversation with IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva, the Prime Minister said that she expressed her reservations about the mistrust created in the past. He said that a strong partnership and mutual trust had now been established between Pakistan and the IMF.

Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif said that the incumbent government had saved the country from default and now reserves had been reached up to fourteen billion dollars.
