PM Shehbaz says his govt’s priority would be to transform the time-tested bilateral relations b/w Pakistan & Saudi Arabia
ISLAMABAD, March 11 (SABAH): Nawaf bin Saeed Ahmad Al-Malkiy, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Pakistan, called on Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Monday.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif thanked the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, His Majesty King Salman bin Abdul Aziz, and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman, for their kind wishes on his re-election as Prime Minister.
Given the special fraternal relationship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, the Prime Minister said the Saudi Ambassador was the first envoy he was receiving after assumption of office.
The Prime Minister highlighted that his government’s priority would be to transform the time-tested bilateral relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia into a mutually beneficial, strategic and economic partnership, with a focus on attracting Saudi investment for bankable projects in Pakistan.
The Prime Minister thanked the Saudi authorities for expanding the scope of the “Road to Makkah” initiative, which will facilitate Pakistani Hajj pilgrims.
While extending an invitation to the Prime Minister to visit Saudi Arabia, the Saudi Ambassador assured the Prime Minister of the Saudi leadership’s full support. He said that Saudi Arabia would always remain a reliable partner for building a stronger and prosperous Pakistan.
