PM Shehbaz attends commemoration ceremony of late President Raisi & his companions

TEHRAN, May 22(SABAH): Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif visited Tehran to attend the funeral ceremony of late President of Iran, Dr. Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi, late Foreign Minister of Iran, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and their companions, who embraced martyrdom in a tragic helicopter accident in the Eastern Azerbaijan province of Iran on 19 May 2024.

The Prime Minister was received at the airport by Mehrdad Bazrpash the Minister for Road and Urban Development along with the Ambassador of Pakistan in Tehran Mudassir Tipu.

PM Shehbaz Sharif offered condolences on behalf of the people and Government of Pakistan, to Acting President, Dr. Mohammad Mokhber and wished him success on his new role.

The Prime Minister was accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Federal Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi, Federal Commerce Minister Mir Jam Kamal Khan, Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar Advocate and SAPM Syed Tariq Fatimi.

The Prime Minister will call on the Supreme Leader, His Eminence, Ayatollah Imam Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution and meet Acting President of Iran, Dr. Mohammad Mokhber, to convey condolences on behalf of the people and Government of Pakistan.
