PM, military leadership should convene a meeting of Muslim rulers & military commanders to send a message of advance to Israel: Hafiz Naeemur Rehman

KARACHI, April 13 (SABAH): Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, Hafiz Naeemur Rehman, addressing hundreds of thousands of participants at the “Solidarity with Gaza March” on Shahrah-e-Faisal, said that if the rulers fail to take practical action for the people of Gaza and Palestine, history will never forgive them.

He urged the government of Pakistan to take a leading role—Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the military leadership should step forward, convene a meeting of Muslim world leaders and military commanders, and collectively send a clear message to Israel: if the genocide of Palestinians is not stopped, there will be a forward move.

He declared that the Hamas movement can never be ended. “Hamas represents love, service, resistance, and jihad against imperialism,” he said. To express solidarity with the people of Gaza and Hamas, a countrywide shutter-down strike will be held on April 22. Letters have already been sent to the leaders of Islamic countries, and approval has been received from Palestinian leadership.

He stated that connections are being made with Islamic movements across the world and that the April 22 strike will be turned into a global strike.

“We will resist the tyrant with the weapons of the tyrant. We will not let the economy of the oppressor thrive,” he said, adding that the boycott campaign against Zionist products will be intensified.

“If the religious scholars of Pakistan issue a fatwa for jihad and appeal for the boycott of Israeli products, why does it trouble the slaves of America and Israel, and the agents of the Zionists?” he asked.

He criticized the PPP, PML-N, and PTI, questioning why they do not openly condemn America and Israel—these terrorist states.

“All these parties are lining up to seek blessings from America,” he said. “America and Israel have torn apart the UN Charter. Their slaves cannot weaken the spirit of jihad in the Ummah with their conspiracies.”

Hafiz Naeemur Rehman added, “Once again, the city of Karachi has proven itself to be the greatest city of the Muslim world.

The passion of Karachi’s citizens who turned out in the hundreds of thousands will surely bear fruit. Today’s march is not the end, but the beginning.”

He vowed that the solidarity movement with Palestine will continue, including a march by children. On April 18, a march will be held in Multan and on April 20 in Islamabad, which will be the largest march in Pakistan’s history.

People from all walks of life—including scholars, lawyers, doctors, engineers, students, traders, laborers, civil society members,

and men and women with their families—participated in the march with strong faith and passion.

Hafiz Naeemur Rehman further said that the suffering of the people of Gaza is indescribable. Over 70,000 Palestinians have been martyred.

“Might is ruling today; imperialism is committing genocide of Palestinians.

On October 7, 2023, Israel was defeated. Its technology has been buried.”
