PM Imran Khan urges int’l community to provide immediate humanitarian relief to millions of Afghans 


ISLAMABAD, Jan 22 (SABAH): Prime Minister Imran Khan has urged the international community to provide immediate humanitarian relief to millions of Afghans on the brink of starvation.

In a tweet on Saturday, PM Imran Khan said there is an urgency and obligation for the international community under the unanimously adopted UN principle of Responsibility To Protect.

“There is an urgency for the international community, as well as their obligation under the unanimously adopted UN principle of Responsibility To Protect (R2P), to provide immediate humanitarian relief to millions of Afghans on the brink of starvation” PM Imran Khan tweeted. 

Meanwhile Prime Minister Imran Khan will receive direct phone calls from general public during a programme “Aap Ka Wazir-e-Azam” approximately at 1500 hours today (Sunday). 

In a tweet on Friday, Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Political Communication Dr. Shahbaz Gill said the Prime Minister will listen to the complaints and opinions of the people and will inform them about different initiatives taken by the government.
