PM Imran Khan has practically lost his majority in National Assembly: Liaqat Baloch

LAHORE, Mar 19 (SABAH):  Deputy Chief of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan and Secretary General Milli Yakjehti Council Liaqat Baloch has said that Islamists of Pakistan highlight their religious, national and Islamic character on the occasion of famous Islamic days, Eid, Ramadhan, Hajj, Zakat and Shab-e Barat. Submission to Allah, repentance and seeking forgiveness from Allah is a sign of the life of believers. The rule of the Divine religion – Islam – is the unwavering passion of the people. Pakistan’s security, prosperity, stability is in the constitution, supremacy of Qur’an and Sunnah and justice system. Let the people make their decision based on the principle of justice to run the country and make their own destiny.

Liaqat Baloch said that Prime Minister Imran Khan has practically lost his majority in the National Assembly. Insurgency and stampede within the party, Imran Khan’s body language and mannerisms are showing that they are using every undemocratic, unconstitutional, immoral tactic in 2022 to cling to the seat of power like in 2018. The no-confidence motion has exposed the government and the opposition. The country is moving towards confrontation. The attack on Sindh House in Islamabad, abusing minority leaders is a disgusting game of riot after riot and spreading anarchy in the country. No political terrorism, extremism, but a constitutional, democratic, sustainable way has to protect democracy, the constitution, the judiciary and the people’s right to vote.

Liaqat Baloch said that the sit-ins on public issues of Jamaat-e-Islami across the country have raised awareness among the people and political activists. Getting rid of the outdated, dysfunctional, anti-people system and all its parts is the way to Pakistan’s dignity, sovereignty and security. Jamaat-e-Islami will carry out a blessed Islamic democratic parliamentary revolution in Pakistan with continuous struggle, service to the people and political democratic principles, clean character.

Welcoming the OIC Foreign Ministers’ Conference in Islamabad, Liaqat Baloch said that the representatives of the Islamic world should declare their recognition of the Taliban government in Afghanistan. Announce economic boycott, announce legislation to thwart US, European, Jewish and Hindu tactics against Islam and Muslims around the world, announce a joint policy on defense, economics, educational, research, science and technology of the Islamic world, announce a joint strategy on the burning issues faced by Muslim Ummah around the world.
