PM Imran Khan directs Punjab govt to take all necessary steps in providing prompt & efficient services to common man
LAHORE/ISLAMABAD, Feb 16 (SABAH): Prime Minister Imran Khan has directed Punjab government to take all necessary steps in providing prompt and efficient services to common man in the province.
Talking to Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Ahmed Khan Buzdar in Lahore on Wednesday, Prime Minister Imran Khan emphasized taking stern action against miscreants, hoarders, and occupation mafia to protect the lives, property, and interests of the people.
During the meeting, the issues related to civil administration and law and order in Punjab province were discussed, besides a detailed briefing on the progress of development projects.
Meanwhile according to a private TV channel, CM Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar on Wednesday briefed Prime Minister Imran Khan on political as well as administrative matters of the province.
During the meeting, Prime Minister lauded CM Punjab over excellent pace of development projects in the province. However, the premier ordered strict monitoring to ensure timely completion of all development projects.
He also emphasized taking action against miscreants, hoarders, and occupation mafia to protect the lives, property, and interests of the people.
Chief Secretary Punjab Kamran Ali Afzal and Inspector General Punjab Rao Sardar Ali Khan were present.
Meanwhile Prime Minister Imran Khan has said local government elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have again shown problem of rejected votes because of double stamping.
In a tweet on Wednesday, he said the same had come out in the Judicial Commission report on 2013 elections. He said the ability to manipulate elections through getting opponent votes rejected is one of the reasons the status quo opposes Electronic Voting Machines.
