Performance of coalition parties during previous 15 months emerged in form of record loans, historical inflation: Sirajul Haq
PESHAWAR, July 18 (SABAH): Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Sirajul Haq has said that performance of coalition parties during the previous 15 months emerged in the form of record loans and historical inflation.
While talking to delegations in Peshawar on Tuesday, Sirajul Haq said that the promises on the basic of which the coalition government containing 13 parties was setup not a single of them has been fulfilled so far. He said that Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) took out rallies against inflation in the past whereas at present sugar was being sold at 160 and flour 200 per kg but these are totally silent.
Under the guise of government’s cover, emir Jamaat-e-Islami made it clear that mafia was earning billions of rupees while on the other side the marginalized segments of the society were dying in wake of hunger.
Sirajul Haq said that on the orders of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the policy of squeezing blood of nation was working at high pace and added by increasing electricity prices, further 500 billion of rupees would be looted from the masses.
Emir Jamaat-e-Islami deplored that no decrease has been witnessed in the perks and privileges of the rulers and added despite making promises the neither minister of finance could put an end to interest system in the country nor he could bring down the dollar value.
He said the system of accountability has come to an end while corruption is being committed openly in the country which stamped on the failure of PDM, PPP and PTI which worked jointly to make the nation slave of the IMF. “If the country is to be developed and take it further then the system should be freed of already tested parties,” he added.
“Enforcement of Islamic System is only solution to the problems of the country. Jamaat-e-Islami is a single party which could enforce Quran and Sunnah system. Nation should provide backing to the Jamaat-e-Islami for the sake of peace, development and prosperity,” he remarked.
Sirajul Haq further said, “The rulers imposed on the nation for decades just minted money, bought properties, saved future of their son and daughters, formed offshore companies and destroyed the future of children of nation due to which at present 35 million of the country are out-of-school children. 80 percent of the population has no facility of drinking clean drinking water. Underprivileged segments of the society are unable to make their medical checkup.”
Emir Jamaat-e-Islami said that honest and capable people would have to be brought to lead the country to save the future generations from slavery. He added there is no hope of improvement if the British’s slaves continue to rule the country.
Sirajul Haq stressed the incumbent government to put in place legislation for putting an end to the interest system till its tenure ends on August 12 and continued that interest should be abolished on individuals, industries and agriculture loans. He said that Jamaat-e-Islami would support the government with respect to this issue as interest is tantamount to waging a war against the system introduced by Almighty Allah and His Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), adding anyone who continued it, Jamaat-e-Islami would fight war against them.
