People of Pakistan shocked by the sheer scale of devastation caused by enormous earthquake in Turkiye & Syria: Asif Luqman Qazi


ISLAMABAD, Feb 08 (SABAH): Asif Luqman Qazi, Director Foreign Affairs of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, has said that the people of Pakistan are shocked by the sheer scale of devastation caused by enormous earthquake in Turkiye and Syria. We extend our deepest condolences to the people and government of Turkey. We will stand by our brothers and sisters in these difficult times inshaAllah, he said.

This was stated by Asif Luqman Qazi, Director Foreign Affairs of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan while delivering a condolence letter by Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Sirajul Haq to the Turkish Ambassador in Pakistan Dr. Mehmet Pacaci.

Meanwhile Ameer JI Pakistan Sirajul Haq wrote in the letter, “I am deeply shocked to hear the sad news of devastation caused by earthquake that took thousands of lives in Turkiye”. Sirajul Haq wrote “on behalf of members of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, Pakistani people, I want to express my deepest condolences on the loss of life and property. My thoughts and prayers are with those who have been affected by this tragedy, and with the families of those who have lost loved ones”.

Sirajul Haq wrote “We would like to extend our solidarity with the Turkish people during these difficult times. It is heartbreaking to see communities shattered by such a disaster. I would also like to inform that I have directed our relief organization, Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan, to start their relief work immediately”.

Sirajul Haq further wrote “Please know that Pakistan stands ready to offer any assistance that may be needed. The resilience and determination of the Turkish people will no doubt be an inspiration in the face of tragedy. I have no doubt that Turkiye will emerge stronger from this difficult experience. We will appreciate if our sentiments are conveyed to the Turkish people and government”.
