People have put aside political parties who came into power through rigging: Sirajul Haq


LAHORE, Feb 25 (SABAH): Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Sirajul Haq has said that people have put aside the political parties who came into power through rigging. He said politics of these parties is not going towards climax but it is going to an end.

Sirajul Haq expressed these views while talking to newly-elected leadership of Jamiat Talaba Arabia at Mansoorah on Sunday. The students’ delegation was headed by muntazim-e-Ahla Jamiat Talaba Arabia Muhammad Afzal. Central leadership was also present on the occasion. Sirajul Haq said if the parties of Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) is given 100 years to govern the country even then they cannot deliver.

He said that incapable ruling parties were badly exposed during the elections, adding rigged elections increased national and public problems. He noted that Jamaat-e-Islami will stand by the people in the future political scenario and will play role of opposition. He said they are grateful to the people for showing their confidence in Jamaat-e-Islami more than the past.

Sirajul Haq said that the country will make progress when the Jamaat-e-Islami would come into power and added the government formed in result of rigging cannot sustain for more period. He said due to incompetent rulers inflation is touching its peak and a layman life has become very tough. He said a man can get rid of problems by abiding by orders of Almighty Allah.

He said that west and anti-Islam powers are scared of our religious seminaries but not being a nuclear state which is why conspiracies and propaganda is being done against them. He said that religious seminaries are real capital and future of nation and the country, adding students of religious seminaries will bring real change in the country.

Sirajul Haq said that the rulers are taking steps against religious seminaries to fulfill international agenda and external pressure. He also stressed upon the uniform education system in the country, saying no government could take effective steps in this regard. He said the country saw marshal law as well as political and democratic governments but they could not improve education system. He added Holy Prophet (SAWW) said “I have been sent as a teacher”.

He maintained why time of people was wasted on Feb 8 as they had to stand in queues for using their right to vote, saying now people want accountability. He said, “I assure people that this would be the last government of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan People’s Party.  If establishment leave them stranded they cannot face Jamaat-e-Islami.”

Meanwhile, newly-elected President High Court Bar Association Asad Manzoor Butt called on Sirajul Haq at Mansoorah. Emir Jamaat-e-Islami congratulated Butt and expressed best wishes for him.

On this occasion, Sirajul Haq said that Jamaat-e-Islami wants supremacy of law in the country and it is only possible when there would be held free, fair and transparent elections in the country. He said now 76 years have passed so state institutions and national politics should be open minded.
