People cannot be left at the mercy of profiteers & hoarders: PM Shehbaz

 LAHORE, April 16 (SABAH): Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has approved the massive crackdown against hoarding, profiteering and black-marketing.

He issued these directives while presiding over a meeting in Lahore on Sunday. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that all the profiteers and smugglers will be dealt with iron hand.

He expressed resentment over the reports of hoarding and overcharging and directed the officials concerned to take stern action against the culprits.

Shehbaz Sharif said that people cannot be left at the mercy of profiteers and hoarders. He also ordered to devise an effective mechanism to stop the smuggling of sugar and other edible items.

The Prime Minister advised the Caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi to take necessary measures to ensure the provision of good quality sugar to consumers at lesser rates.
