PDM, PPP, PTI, all religious parties which are part of govt are tightlipped on interest system: Sirajul Haq
DERA ISMAIL KHAN, July 9 (SABAH): Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, Sirajul Haq has said that PDM, PPP, PTI and all religious parties which are part of government were tightlipped on interest system.
Sirajul Haq expressed these views while addressing a workers’ convention in Dera Ismail Khan on Sunday. He said that tornado of inflation, corruption and unemployment was underway and continued the rulers put heavy burden of loans even on the coming generations.
He said that coward rulers even could not talk to the US for the release of Dr Afia Siddiqui from the prison while on other side will of all ruling parties included in framing transgender law on homosexuality in the country. He furthered a number of countries disconnected foreign relations with Sweden while the government of Pakistan only staged a protest demonstration which is why “we were not satisfied with what the government did.”
He demanded of the government to deport the ambassador of Sweden and call Pakistan’s ambassador back to the country [from Sweden]. He stressed upon the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to observe economic boycott with Sweden and the United Nations should pass a law pertaining religions honor. He said that Jamaat-e-Islami, Islam and Pakistan would not compromise on the matter at all costs.
On this occasion, Secretary General Jamaat-e-Islami KPK Abdul Wasia, Emir District Dera Ismail Khan Muhammad Muntazir, Naib Emir Jamaat-e-Islami KPK Mehboob Janan and others were present.
Sirajul Haq said that Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and all religious parties which are part of the government were tightlipped on interest system.
On the occasion of presenting no-confidence motion against the PTI in the assembly when PDM and PPP offered them for developing coalition, he said in response they had made it clear that Jamaat-e-Islami will not become part of such government or movement whose motif was not to enforce the Islamic System in the country.
He further said that current as well as past governments were continuity of status quo while their goal is to present the System of Quran and added in the court, they wanted to see the verdicts to be issued in the light of the Holy Quran.
Emir Jamaat-e-Islami said that cruel landlords and corrupt capitalists who have been occupying the country were not in favour of progress and development of the country due to which half of the population was below the poverty line. He said properties of the rulers were increasing manifold.
Sirajul Haq said if this obsolete system remains as it there would be no change in the country as the aforementioned parties will not allow prosperity and development of the people. He stressed upon the masses to change their fate through the power of vote while showing their confidence in capable and honest individuals and deplored that rulers have been deceiving the nation for seven decades.
