Patients & their families visiting Holy Family Hospital in Rawalpindi looted by parking mafia

RAWALPINDI, August 21 (SABAH): The patients and their families visiting the Holy Family Hospital in Rawalpindi being looted by the parking mafia. Instead of Rs.30, patients and their family members are being charged Rs.50 as parking fee. It has also been revealed that after 12:00 PM in the night, a parking fee of 30 rupees per hour is demanded. While the sale of substandard water and juices at the shops, canteens and stalls established in the premises of Holy Family Hospital has also been highlighted.

According to the details, helpless patients and their families who come for treatment at Holy Family Hospital, a major hospital in Rawalpindi district, are being cheated in the name of parking fee. The fee of Rs. 30 is printed on the slip given by the parking mafia to the patients and their families, but the parking mafia charges Rs 50 instead of Rs 30 for the vehicle. Moreover, the parking mafia charges Rs. 30 per hour after 12 midnight.

Patients and their families have demanded that Chief Minister Punjab Chaudhry Pervez Elahi, Health Minister Punjab Dr. Muhammad Akhtar Malik, Chief Secretary Punjab Kamran Ali Afzal, Commissioner Rawalpindi Division Noorul Amin Mengal and Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi Tahir Farooq should take notice of the matter. They also demanded that government authorities should take notice of substandard water, juices and other items being sold at shops and canteens located within the hospital. People demanded measures from government ensuring quality edibles at the shops.
