ISLAMABAD, August 09 (SABAH): On the occasion of the 76th anniversary of the Constituent Assembly of Pakistan, Speaker National Assembly Raja Pervez Ashraf and Deputy Speaker National Assembly Zahid Akram Durrani underscored the pivotal role of Parliamentary Supremacy and Rule of Law in charting the path of development for Pakistan.

In separate statements, both the Speaker and Deputy Speaker emphasized the parliament’s significance to resolve the nation’s challenges and leading it on the path of progress. They affirmed that a robust parliamentary system and the continuity of democracy are not only vital for the nation’s survival and security but also instrumental in realizing the dream of national development.

Speaker Raja Pervez Ashraf reiterated that the foundation of a developed Pakistan rests upon the pillars of parliamentary supremacy and the rule of law. He underscored that the 15th National Assembly, in its diamond jubilee year, opened its doors widely, ensuring inclusivity by allowing various segments of society, including women, children, and transgender individuals, to share their perspectives in the legislative process.
