Pakistan reports seven deaths from coronavirus during last 24 hours
ISLAMABAD, Mar 06 (SABAH): Pakistan has reported seven deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 1,514,258. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 30,265 on Sunday. So far 1,454,382 patients have recovered in the country. So far 127,117,340 people have been partially vaccinated for coronavirus in country; meanwhile during the last 24 hours 166,131 people were vaccinated for coronavirus. So far 99,292,129 people have been fully vaccinated for coronavirus and 242,151 were vaccinated during the last 24 hours. So far 215,539,999 dozes of vaccine have been administered in whole country; meanwhile 422,935 dozes of vaccine were administered in the country during the last 24 hours. So far 4,512,786 booster dozes of vaccine have been administered in the country. Meanwhile during the last 24 hours 24,490 dozes of booster vaccine have been administered in the country. The positivity rate of coronavirus reported cases has reached 2 percent on Sunday.
According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) 755 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.
The death rate from the coronavirus pandemic in Pakistan is 2 percent; meanwhile the number of recovered patients of coronavirus has reached 96 percent. During the last 24 hours 886 coronavirus patients were recovered in the country. There are 821 critical coronavirus patients present in the country. There are 29611 active coronavirus cases presenting the country.
According to NCOC, Punjab province has become at first position in number of deaths from coronavirus pandemic; meanwhile Sindh province is on the second position. Meanwhile Sindh province has come on first position in terms of total reported cases of coronavirus, recovered coronavirus patients and active coronavirus cases in the country; meanwhile Punjab province at second position. On the other hand Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province has come on third position in terms of active coroanvirus cases. There are 2,305 active coronavirus patients present in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. There are 22,687 active coronavirus patients present in Sindh, 3,644 in Punjab, 498 active cases present in federal capital Islamabad, 62 in Balochistan, 259 in Azad Jammu and Jammu and Kashmir and 156 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
The percentage of deaths from coronavirus patients in Azad Jammu and Kashmir is 2 percent, in Islamabad 1 percent, Gilgit-Baltistan 2 percent, Balochistan 1 percent, in Punjab 3 percent, in Sindh 1 percent and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 3 percent.
Till now 13,520 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 8,085 in Sindh, 6,288 in KP, 1,017 in Islamabad, 788 in Azad Kashmir, 376 in Balochistan, and 191 in GB.
Furthermore 569,978 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 502,621 in Punjab, 216,983 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 132,620 in Islamabad, 35,380 in Balochistan, 43,106 in Azad Kashmir and 11,570 in Gilgit-Baltistan. Pakistan has so far conducted 26,646,219 coronavirus tests and 37,661 in the last 24 hours.
So far 539,206 coronavirus patients have recovered in Sindh, 485,457 coronavirus patients have recovered in Punjab, 208,390 coronavirus patients have recovered in Khyber Pakhtunkhawa, 133,105 coronaviurs patients have been recovered in Islamabad, 34,942 coronavirus patients have been recovered in Balochistan, 42,059 coronavirus patients have been recovered in Azad Jammu and Kashmir and 11,223 coronavirus patients have been recovered in Gilgit-Baltistan.
