Pakistan reports 49 deaths from coronavirus during last 24 hours
ISLAMABAD, Feb 16 (SABAH): Pakistan has reported 49 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 1,491,423. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 29,877 on Wednesday. So far 1,388,517 patients have recovered in the country. So far 120,645,745 people have been partially vaccinated for coronavirus in country; meanwhile during the last 24 hours 1,495,237 people were vaccinated for coronavirus. So far 93,542,689 people have been fully vaccinated for coronavirus and 977,564 were vaccinated during the last 24 hours. So far 203,227,145 dozes of vaccine have been administered in whole country; meanwhile 2,339, 218 dozes of vaccine were administered in the country during the last 24 hours. So far 3,695,298 booster dozes of vaccine have been administered in the country. Meanwhile during the last 24 hours 84,319 dozes of booster vaccine have been administered in the country. The positivity rate of coronavirus reported cases has reached 4.97 percent on Wednesday.
According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) 2,465 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.
The death rate from the coronavirus pandemic in Pakistan is 2 percent; meanwhile the number of recovered patients of coronavirus has reached 93.1 percent. During the last 24 hours 4,792 coronavirus patients were recovered in the country. There are 1,534 critical coronavirus patients present in the country. There are 73,029 active coronavirus cases presenting the country.
According to NCOC, Punjab province has become at first position in number of deaths from coronavirus pandemic; meanwhile Sindh province is on the second position. Meanwhile Sindh province has come on first position in terms of total reported cases of coronavirus, recovered coronavirus patients and active coronavirus cases in the country; meanwhile Punjab province at second position. On the other hand Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province has come on third position in terms of active coroanvirus cases. There are 12,340 active coronavirus patients present in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. There are 45,970 active coronavirus patients present in Sindh, 9,438 in Punjab, 3,351 active cases present in federal capital Islamabad, 247 in Balochistan, 1,203 in Azad Jammu and Jammu and Kashmir and 480 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
The percentage of deaths from coronavirus patients in Azad Jammu and Kashmir is 3 percent, in Islamabad 1 percent, Gilgit-Baltistan 2 percent, Balochistan 1 percent, in Punjab 3 percent, in Sindh 2 percent and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 3 percent.
Till now 13,390 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 8,000 in Sindh, 6,153 in KP, 1001 in Islamabad, 773 in Azad Kashmir, 371 in Balochistan, and 189 in GB.
Furthermore 560,670 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 496,724 in Punjab, 212,078 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 133,388 in Islamabad, 35,133 in Balochistan, 42,180 in Azad Kashmir and 11,250 in Gilgit-Baltistan. Pakistan has so far conducted 25,896,758 coronavirus tests and 49,553 in the last 24 hours.
So far 506,700 coronavirus patients have recovered in Sindh, 473,896 coronavirus patients have recovered in Punjab, 193,585 coronavirus patients have recovered in Khyber Pakhtunkhawa, 129,036 coronaviurs patients have been recovered in Islamabad, 34,515 coronavirus patients have been recovered in Balochistan, 40,204 coronavirus patients have been recovered in Azad Jammu and Kashmir and 10,581 coronavirus patients have been recovered in Gilgit-Baltistan.
