Pakistan reports 44 deaths from coronavirus during last 24 hours


ISLAMABAD, Feb 12 (SABAH): Pakistan has reported 44 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 1,480,592. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 29,731 on Saturday. So far 1,370,693 patients have recovered in the country. So far 115,238,268 people have been partially vaccinated for coronavirus in country; meanwhile during the last 24 hours 1,330,298 people were vaccinated for coronavirus. So far 89,853,639 people have been fully vaccinated for coronavirus and 950,726 were vaccinated during the last 24 hours. So far 194,492,475 dozes of vaccine have been administered in whole country; meanwhile 2,244, 371 dozes of vaccine were administered in the country during the last 24 hours. So far 3,361,160 booster dozes of vaccine have been administered in the country. Meanwhile during the last 24 hours 88,332 dozes of booster vaccine have been administered in the country. The positivity rate of coronavirus reported cases has reached 5.36 percent on Saturday.

According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) 3,019 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

 

The death rate from the coronavirus pandemic in Pakistan is 2 percent; meanwhile the number of recovered patients of coronavirus has reached 92.6 percent. During the last 24 hours 5,175 coronavirus patients were recovered in the country. There are 1,640 critical coronavirus patients present in the country. There are 80,168 active coronavirus cases presenting the country.

According to NCOC, Punjab province has become at first position in number of deaths from coronavirus pandemic; meanwhile Sindh province is on the second position. Meanwhile Sindh province has come on first position in terms of total reported cases of coronavirus, recovered coronavirus patients and active coronavirus cases in the country; meanwhile Punjab province at second position. On the other hand Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province has come on third position in terms of active coroanvirus cases. There are 13,399 active coronavirus patients present in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. There are 44,921 active coronavirus patients present in Sindh, 11,919 in Punjab, 7,665 active cases present in federal capital Islamabad, 322 in Balochistan, 1,552 in Azad Jammu and Jammu and Kashmir and 390 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

The percentage of deaths from coronavirus patients in Azad Jammu and Kashmir is 3 percent, in Islamabad 1 percent, Gilgit-Baltistan 2 percent, Balochistan 1 percent, in Punjab 3 percent, in Sindh 2 percent and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 3 percent.

Till now 13,335 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 7,971 in Sindh, 6,103 in KP, 996 in Islamabad, 766 in Azad Kashmir, 371 in Balochistan, and 189 in GB.

Furthermore 556,772 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 494,238 in Punjab, 208,817 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 132,892 in Islamabad, 35,017 in Balochistan, 41,740 in Azad Kashmir and 11,116 in Gilgit-Baltistan. Pakistan has so far conducted 25,696,017 coronavirus tests and 56,260 in the last 24 hours.

So far 503,880 coronavirus patients have recovered in Sindh, 468,984 coronavirus patients have recovered in Punjab, 189,315 coronavirus patients have recovered in Khyber Pakhtunkhawa, 124,231 coronaviurs patients have been recovered in Islamabad, 34,324 coronavirus patients have been recovered in Balochistan, 39,422 coronavirus patients have been recovered in Azad Jammu and Kashmir and 10,537 coronavirus patients have been recovered in Gilgit-Baltistan.
