Pakistan reports 38 deaths from coronavirus during last 24 hours


ISLAMABAD, Feb 07 (SABAH): Pakistan has reported 38 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 1,463,111. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 29,516 on Monday. So far 1,344,403 patients have recovered in the country. So far 110,213,721 people have been partially vaccinated for coronavirus in country; meanwhile during the last 24 hours 1,059,292 people were vaccinated for coronavirus. So far 86,200,581 people have been fully vaccinated for coronavirus and 743,571 were vaccinated during the last 24 hours. So far 185,979,557 dozes of vaccine have been administered in whole country; meanwhile 1,842, 955 dozes of vaccine were administered in the country during the last 24 hours. So far 3,033,174 booster dozes of vaccine have been administered in the country. Meanwhile during the last 24 hours 94,090 dozes of booster vaccine have been administered in the country. The positivity rate of coronavirus reported cases has reached 7.45 percent on Monday.

According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) 3,338 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

The death rate from the coronavirus pandemic in Pakistan is 2 percent; meanwhile the number of recovered patients of coronavirus has reached 91.9 percent. During the last 24 hours 4,905 coronavirus patients were recovered in the country. There are 1,684 critical coronavirus patients present in the country. There are 89,192 active coronavirus cases presenting the country.

According to NCOC, Punjab province has become at first position in number of deaths from coronavirus pandemic; meanwhile Sindh province is on the second position. Meanwhile Sindh province has come on first position in terms of total reported cases of coronavirus, recovered coronavirus patients and active coronavirus cases in the country; meanwhile Punjab province at second position. On the other hand Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province has come on third position in terms of active coroanvirus cases. There are 13,688 active coronavirus patients present in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. There are 43,904 active coronavirus patients present in Sindh, 16,153 in Punjab, 11,893 active cases present in federal capital Islamabad, 437 in Balochistan, 2,795 in Azad Jammu and Jammu and Kashmir and 322 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

The percentage of deaths from coronavirus patients in Azad Jammu and Kashmir is 3 percent, in Islamabad 1 percent, Gilgit-Baltistan 2 percent, Balochistan 1 percent, in Punjab 3 percent, in Sindh 2 percent and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 3 percent.

Till now 13,252 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 7,905 in Sindh, 6,053 in KP, 988 in Islamabad, 761 in Azad Kashmir, 368 in Balochistan, and 189 in GB.

Furthermore 552,262 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 489,655 in Punjab, 203,110 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 131,628 in Islamabad, 34,819 in Balochistan, 40,741 in Azad Kashmir and 10,896 in Gilgit-Baltistan. Pakistan has so far conducted 25,422,966 coronavirus tests and 44,779 in the last 24 hours.

So far 500,453 coronavirus patients have recovered in Sindh, 460,250 coronavirus patients have recovered in Punjab, 183,369 coronavirus patients have recovered in Khyber Pakhtunkhawa, 118,747 coronaviurs patients have been recovered in Islamabad, 34,014 coronavirus patients have been recovered in Balochistan, 37,185 coronavirus patients have been recovered in Azad Jammu and Kashmir and 10,385 coronavirus patients have been recovered in Gilgit-Baltistan.
