Pakistan reports 30 deaths from coronavirus during last 24 hours


ISLAMABAD, Feb 06 (SABAH): Pakistan has reported 30 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 1,459,4773. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 29,478 on Sunday. So far 1,339,498 patients have recovered in the country. So far 108,173,867 people have been partially vaccinated for coronavirus in country; meanwhile during the last 24 hours 896,350 people were vaccinated for coronavirus. So far 84,731,497 people have been fully vaccinated for coronavirus and 785,143 were vaccinated during the last 24 hours. So far 182,396,048 dozes of vaccine have been administered in whole country; meanwhile 1,734, 514 dozes of vaccine were administered in the country during the last 24 hours. The positivity rate of coronavirus reported cases has reached 8.69 percent on Sunday.

According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) 4,874 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

The death rate from the coronavirus pandemic in Pakistan is 2 percent; meanwhile the number of recovered patients of coronavirus has reached 91.8 percent. During the last 24 hours 5,766 coronavirus patients were recovered in the country. There are 1,681 critical coronavirus patients present in the country. There are 90,797 active coronavirus cases presenting the country.

According to NCOC, Punjab province has become at first position in number of deaths from coronavirus pandemic; meanwhile Sindh province is on the second position. Meanwhile Sindh province has come on first position in terms of total reported cases of coronavirus, recovered coronavirus patients and active coronavirus cases in the country; meanwhile Punjab province at second position. On the other hand Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province has come on third position in terms of active coroanvirus cases. There are 13,770 active coronavirus patients present in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. There are 43,636 active coronavirus patients present in Sindh, 17,033 in Punjab, 12,670 active cases present in federal capital Islamabad, 458 in Balochistan, 2,897 in Azad Jammu and Jammu and Kashmir and 333 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

The percentage of deaths from coronavirus patients in Azad Jammu and Kashmir is 3 percent, in Islamabad 1 percent, Gilgit-Baltistan 2 percent, Balochistan 1 percent, in Punjab 3 percent, in Sindh 2 percent and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 3 percent.

Till now 13,242 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 7,891 in Sindh, 6,041 in KP, 986 in Islamabad, 761 in Azad Kashmir, 368 in Balochistan, and 189 in GB.

Furthermore 551,399 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 488,603 in Punjab, 202,190 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 131,337 in Islamabad, 34,785 in Balochistan, 40,568 in Azad Kashmir and 10,891 in Gilgit-Baltistan. Pakistan has so far conducted 25,378,187 coronavirus tests and 56,051 in the last 24 hours.

So far 499,872 coronavirus patients have recovered in Sindh, 458,328 coronavirus patients have recovered in Punjab, 182,379 coronavirus patients have recovered in Khyber Pakhtunkhawa, 117,681 coronaviurs patients have been recovered in Islamabad, 33,959 coronavirus patients have been recovered in Balochistan, 36,910 coronavirus patients have been recovered in Azad Jammu and Kashmir and 10,369 coronavirus patients have been recovered in Gilgit-Baltistan.
