Pakistan is rich with resources, no danger to country:  COAS Syed Asim Munir

ISLAMABAD, Aug 14 (SABAH): Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir has cautioned against spreading despair among the people, and stressed upon the need of giving hope instead.

General Syed Asim Munir was speaking to the media persons in an informal discussion after the swearing-in ceremony of Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar at the President House here on Monday.

“We are very optimistic about the future of Pakistan,” the Army Chief told the media. General Syed Asim Munir further said that he was looking at Pakistan as a successful and developed country.

“There is a lot of potential in Pakistan. God has given our country everything,” the army chief stressed further. A journalist questioned the Army Chief that what are his views about the country? To this, Army Chief said that God-willing the country would progress and added there would be further improvement.

The journalist further said that his (army chief) address on the previous night during parade at Kakul was worth appreciating and he should also make such addresses in the future. On the dialogue of the journalist, the Army Chief smiled and thanked the journalist.

The COAS said there is hope for the best, adding that everything will be good, as Pakistan was moving forward in a very positive way. “Pakistan is rich with resources, and I assure you there is no danger to the country,” the army chief added.
