Pakistan is expected to receive about $13.333billion from multi literal and bilateral donors during January to June 2024
ISLAMABAD, Dec 29 (SABAH): Pakistan is expected to receive some $13.333billion from multi literal and bilateral donors during January to June 2024.
According to the details released by Economic Affairs Division, among expected receipts Pakistan is to receive $4.5billion from International Commercial as commercial loans, $2.5billion as two remaining IMF Stand-by arrangement loan program instalments and $ 1 billion from United Arab Emirates (UAE) as Safe Deposits for increasing the foreign exchange reserves of the country.
Out of the total agreed financing needs of the country, for this fiscal year 2023-24 to the tune of $17.619 billion, Pakistan has been able to secure some $4.285 billion during the July-November period of this fiscal year. The remaining financing that is expected during the second half January and June of this fiscal year 2023-24, is $13.333billion from multi literal and bilateral donors.
Pakistan is expected to receive during the second half of this fiscal year, $1.965 billion from Asian Development Bank (ADB), $1.838billion from World Bank(WB), $328million from Asian Infrastructure and Investment Bank(AIIB), $ 400 million from Islamic Development Bank (IsDB), Arab OPEC Fund (AOP), $100 million POL products on deferred payment basis.
