Pakistan could be stable if law & constitution rule alongside eradication of corruption, mismanagement: Sirajul Haq

PESHAWAR, March 21 (SABAH): Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Sirajul Haq on Tuesday said that the country can be stable if there is supremacy of law and Constitution as well as eradication of corruption and mismanagement.

Sirajul Haq said this while addressing a ceremony held in connection with formation of strategy of next five years for the development of province, under the auspices of Jamaat-e-Islami Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in Peshawar.

He said there is no shortage of resources and wealth in the country and crisis were the outcome of incompetent leadership who has been occupying the nation since 75 years in the form of army dictators and so-called democratic leaders. “Change begins with self but the ruling class is not ready to sacrifice in any form. These people live in palaces spreading over a number of acres,” he said.

He furthered, “There are very spacious homes occupied by the government officials like DC houses which are stretching even to about 200 canals while British premier resides just in a four-room home. The ruling class is a sequence of British rule and protector of status-quo. Establishment is their supporter.”

Sirajul Haq said, “In the light of my experience as minister for finance, senator and political worker, I claim there is no need of loans of International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank (WB) to Pakistan if there is just division of resources.”

He congratulated emir province Prof Ibrahim, Maulana Ismail, Dr Iqbal Khalil and other provincial leadership over preparation of five year plan (2023-2028) of provincial development and advised them to expedite efforts for making the province a model for other provinces.

Replying to several queries, he said Jamaat-e-Islami duty was to putting efforts for the betterment and enlighten the nation about the truths. He said these cruel land lords and corrupt capitalists could not face Jamaat-e-Islami if establishment leaves supporting this troika. “Problems could only be resolved when this redundant system will revolutionize and to be replaced by Quran and Sunnah System,” he remarked. He further said KPK enjoys so much hydroelectric potential that it could provide electricity to the entire country.
