Pakistan attaches great importance to its brotherly relations with Iraq: Rana Sanaullah
ISLAMABAD, July 28 (SABAH): Pakistan and Iraq have agreed to enhance economic cooperation, including bilateral trade between the two countries.
This understanding was reached during a meeting between Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah Khan and Iraqi Ambassador Hamid Abbas Lafta in Islamabad on Friday.
Speaking on the occasion, Rana Sanaullah said Pakistan attaches great importance to its brotherly relations with Iraq. He said deep fraternal relations between Pakistan and Iraq are based on common religion and values.
The Interior Minister said Pakistan can offer training to Iraqi officers in the fields of policing and forensics.
The Ambassador said that around 200,000 Pakistanis visit Iraq for pilgrimage every year by spending their lifetime savings. He said the Iraqi authorities try hard to provide all possible facilities to the Pakistani pilgrims. He invited the Interior Minister to visit Iraq.
Rana Sanaullah commended the efforts and contribution of the Iraqi Ambassador in promoting bilateral relations between the two countries.
