Pakistan & Afghanistan’s economic interests are intrinsically interlinked: Ambassador Sadiq Khan
KABUL, March 23 (SABAH): Pakistan’s Special Representative for Afghanistan Ambassador Sadiq Khan has said that Pakistan and Afghanistan’s economic interests are intrinsically interlinked. Peace and progress in Afghanistan is essential for regional stability. Pakistan and Afghanistan must synergize their efforts to foster regional economic development. Afghanistan remains one of the most important regional partners of Pakistan. Both countries must work together to enhance bilateral trade and galvanize regional connectivity. Pakistan remains committed to a strong and mutually beneficial bilateral relationship with Afghanistan.
These views were expressed by Pakistan’s Special Representative for Afghanistan Ambassador Sadiq Khan as the Guest of Honour of the Flag Hoisting ceremony at Pakistan’s embassy in Kabul. Ambassador Sadiq Khan emphasized that 23rd March is the day of reiteration of our commitment to the prosperity and defence of Pakistan.
Pakistan’s Head of Mission Ambassador Ubaid-ur-Rehman Nizamani in his remarks on the occasion called for honouring the sacrifices of our freedom fighters, and renewing our pledge to work toward a stronger and prosperous Pakistan. Ambassador Nizamani underscored the need of reinvigorating our resilience to overcome all internal and external challenges. On this occasion messages of President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Mohammad Shahbaz Sharif and Deputy Prime Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar were read out.
