Pak, Iran, Saudi Arabia & Afghanistan while being united could play an effective role for freedom of Palestine & Kashmir: Liaqat Baloch
ISLAMABAD, April 23 (SABAH): Naib Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Liaqat Baloch has said that Pakistan, Iran, Saudi Arabia and Afghanistan while being united could play an effective role for freedom of Palestine and Kashmir.
Liaqat Baloch said that for persuading international community to stop mass-killing of Palestinians the leadership of Islamic world will have to leave its apathy and cowardice while adopting unsubtle approach towards the issue. He said there should not be interference of civil and military establishment in electoral process, adding the political parties should not play a role of instrument of establishment.
Liaqat Baloch participated in a reception given in honor of ambassador of Iran in Islamabad. He held meeting with Iran’s consulate general in Lahore. He also held meeting with Iranian delegation which is visiting Pakistan. On this occasion, he appreciated Iran’s position taken with regards to Gaza Palestine. He also welcomed the visit of President of Iran Dr. Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi to Pakistan and added that Pakistan, Iran, Saudi Arabia and Afghanistan while being united could play an effective role for freedom of Palestine and Kashmir.
In a media interview, Liaqat Baloch said that there is no outcome of resolutions of General Assembly and Security Council of the United Nations as the US, British and other several countries are supporting every cruel act and mass-killing of Israel. He said for persuading international community to stop mass-killing of Palestinians the leadership of Islamic world will have to leave its apathy and cowardice while adopting clear approach towards the issue otherwise it would further aggravate the situation for the Islamic world.
Liaqat Baloch said that after general elections of Feb 8, 2024, holding of bye-elections on April 21 has increased political instability, adding those who won the elections are not happy and those who were defeated they have nothing except protest. He said that elections process has become obsolete and redundant.
He said that political system is working with the spurious mandate given by the establishment which is why the crisis are increasing instead of decreasing. He said for ensuring free, fair and transparent elections in the country there should not be interference of civil and military establishment in electoral process. He said the political parties should not play a role of instrument of establishment and passion of accepting electoral outcomes should be encouraged.
