Over Rs 32 biln to be spent on development projects in Attock: Sheikh Aftab Ahmed

ATTOCK, Oct 21 (SABAH): Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Member National Assembly and Convener of the District Coordination Committee Sheikh Aftab Ahmed has said that the federal and provincial governments were undertaking unparalleled and historic steps for public development and welfare. He said that quality and transparency will be ensured during the completion of 103 development schemes in Attock district which will cost 32,514 million rupees.

Sheikh Aftab Ahmed said this while briefing the meeting of the District Coordination Committee held at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office in Attock on Monday.

On this occasion, Members of the Provincial Assembly, Malik Atebar Khan, Chaudhry Sher Ali Khan, Deputy Commissioner of Attock, Rao Atif Raza, Additional Deputy Commissioner Finance and Planning Nosheen Israr and other relevant officers were also present.

During the briefing, it was informed that the 103 schemes across the district will cost 32,514 million rupees which include projects in the education, health and rehabilitation of basic infrastructure, along with undertaking repair work and other initiatives.

He said that Federal and Punjab governments were utilizing maximum available resources for the welfare of the people and development of the district. He emphasized upon the officers to ensure working of their departments as per the vision of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and CM Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif and not to take lenient view in this context.

Sheikh Aftab Ahmed also directed authorities to ensure the transparent use of funds and for development projects to be accomplished timely and according to set standards. He urged officials of executive agencies to ensure quality according to the required standard of work in various development schemes in the district.
