Over 3000 Sikh Yatrees reached Pakistan for Besakhi Mela
ISLAMABAD, April 13 (SABAH): Over three thousand Sikh yatrees from India arrived Pakistan through Wagha border today to participate in Besakhi Mela. The officials of Evacuee Trust Property Board received the yatrees.
During their stay in Pakistan, yatrees will visit their religious places at Hassanabdal, Nankana Sahib, Narowal, Eminabad and Badami Bagh Lahore, through special trains.
All the arrangements including accommodation, security, transport and medical for yatrees have been completed by ETPB.
Talking to the newsmen at the Wagah border, Party leader Kulant Singh and Deputy Party Leader Amarjit Singh thanked the government of Pakistan and the Evacuee Trust Property Board and said that they are very happy to come to Pakistan. They said that millions of Sikhs are eager to come to Pakistan for the yatra.
The main event of Baisakhi Mela will be held tomorrow at Gurudwara Panja Sahib Hasan Abdal. The Sikh pilgrims will return to India after completing their 10-day pilgrimage on twenty-second of this month.
