Opposition has contracted with political coronavirus in result of passage of SBP Bill from Senate: Sirajul haq
PESHAWAR, Jan 29 (SABAH): Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Sirajul Haq has said that opposition has contracted with political coronavirus in result of passage of the State Bank of Pakistan Bill from Senate. Sirajul Haq while expressing regret over the passage of the State Bank of Pakistan Bill said that if the opposition intended this bill could never had been passed, adding that opposition did not express seriousness regarding the matter and could not become united, due to this reason government succeeded to get pass the bill. He said that government has sold State Bank of Pakistan in $1 billion to IMF, adding that the government has thrown the whole nation in the salivary of the IMF.
This was stated by Sirajul Haq while addressing a press conference at the Markaz-e-Islami Peshawar on Saturday. Sirajul Haq said that Chairman Senate Mir Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani even did not allow presenting the amendments moved by Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan on the bill, adding that the opposition supported the government in this whole play and only issued statements to befool the masses. He said that the opposition has contracted with the political corona, adding that the government and opposition both are the slaves of the one door.
Sirajul Haq said that if the opposition had intended the government could never get passed the bill from Senate. He said that the opposition has just limited to the statements and passage of the State Bank of Pakistan is the clear example of it. He said that the masses are facing price spiral but the government instead of giving relief to them is putting more burden of price spiral on them, adding that the electricity and gas prices have been increased and now prices of medicines have also been increased. He said that the flour prices have also been increased in the country and people are unable to eat two meals in a day. He said that in this situation the opposition should have become united but unfortunately it is not performing its role and has just limited to the statements.
Sirajul Haq said that State Bank of Pakistan has been handed over to the IMF, adding that PTI has sold SBP to IMF in very cheap price of $1 billion. He said that governor State Bank of Pakistan has been made economic viceroy. He said that economic fall of Pakistan has been occurred. He said that JI is the ray of hope for the nation and country and is fully capable of brining country out of crises and provide relief to the masses.
Sirajul Haq has said the PTI government has given full control of economy to the IMF after surrendering Kashmir to India. “Imran Khan government step put at risk the country’s sovereignty,” he said. He said the governor of the state bank was now a higher authority than the parliament and the prime minister.
The JI chief said the government will not be able to borrow loans from the central bank now and the bank inaugurated by the founder of Pakistan Quaid-e-Azam (RA) was now in control of the IMF. Before launching the long marches, the opposition parties should explain to the public that how the government succeeded in the upper house despite their majority, he said.
Undoubtedly, he said, the main opposition parties and the government played on same pitch when it came to the matter of showing obedience to the USA and international lending agencies. The ruling elite, he said, sold the freedom of the nation to international powers.
It was not only the PTI government which was completely reliant on the international money lender for its policies, the former rulers also did the same steps, he said, adding the rulers did politics only to increase their wealth and they had nothing to do with the country or the poor nation. Panama Leaks and Pandora Papers badly exposed the country’s elite, he said.
Sirajul Haq said the JI will not sit silently on the injustices with the people of and hold sit-in across the country. He demanded the government take back the mini-budget, decrease 50 percent prices of the food items and remove the governor of the state bank or get ready to face the people’s wrath. He said the government should go home if it could not provide relief to the poverty-stricken masses.
Sirajul Haq expressed grief over the martyr of soldiers in Balochistan and expressed concern over the rise of terrorism in the province. He demanded the government and security agencies to take fool proof measures to ensure protection of the people of Pakistan.
