Only political, diplomatic & moral support not sufficient for sorting out Kashmir issue: Syed Salahuddin Ahmed 


MUZAFFARABAD, Feb 5 (SABAH): Chief of the Hizbul Mujahideen and Chairman United Jihad Council Syed Salahuddin Ahmed has said that expressing solidarity by Pakistani people with Kashmiri people is a worth appreciating act while seriousness of current circumstances demand for taking practical measures.

Syed Salahuddin Ahmed in a statement said that entire Pakistani nation expressed solidarity with the Kashmiri people on February 5. Through gatherings and seminars, Pakistanis express their love for the Kashmiris, he said.  

World in general and particularly India a message is conveyed that Kashmiris are not stranded and Pakistani nation is standing with them, he said. On this day, Sate of Pakistan ensures Kashmiri people that it would continue political, diplomatic and moral cooperation, he added.

He said that expressing solidarity by the government of Pakistan and masses of the country is very worth appreciating act due to which they thank them; however, current situation is so serious in nature that only moral, diplomatic and political cooperation is not sufficient as India is rapidly converting Muslim majority state into Hindu majority state.

He said millions of people are being accommodated in Occupied Kashmir by bringing Hindu from other states. Muslim government officers and other employees are being fired from the services, he said. Arrests, inflicting cruelty and arson are underway, Syed Salahuddin Ahmed added.

He said in the light of abovementioned situation, only political, diplomatic and moral support is not sufficient for sorting out Kashmir issue. He said that Pakistan is important stakeholder in Kashmir conflict due to which it is its obligation to practically support Kashmiri people.

Syed Salahuddin Ahmed said that solution of Kashmir issue is hidden in the resolutions of the United Nations. Any solution done with oppression can damage the peace of this region. He also expressed concerns over mass-killing of people in Gaza and added that Muslim rulers showing apathy towards the issue which is condemnable. He said this fire which is now in Palestine can affect the entire world.
