Only & lasting solution to Kashmir issue is in implementation of the United Nations resolutions: Liaqat Baloch
LAHORE, June 20 (SABAH): Naib Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, former parliamentary leader Liaqat Baloch has said that the government has caused great loss to the wheat farmers. He said now measures are being taken to destroy the dairy industry as well, adding government promises of giving relief to agriculture and farmers are fictitious and empty. He said virtually, agriculture, farmers and dairy industry are being destroyed.
While talking to Kisan Board President Sardar Zafar Hussain and Secretary General Dr. Abdul Jabbar, Liaqat Baloch said that the economy of 250 million people should not be put at risk on the orders of IMF and global moneylender. He said the federal and provincial governments should take steps to provide relief to the wheat farmers.
He said the wheat import scandal has been buried under the carpet after the revelations of the former caretaker prime minister, adding that people want to see the anti-agricultural faces of the wheat scandal exposed. The demand of the dairy association should be seriously considered, he added.
Liaqat Baloch while talking on telephone to the newly elected Convener All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Ghulam Muhammad Safi, said that Indian and Modi fascism continued in a cruel manner even during Eid. He said the solution of the Kashmir problem is not in unilateral controversial actions of India, but the only and sustainable solution of the Kashmir problem is to give the Kashmiris the right to self-determination by following the resolutions of the United Nations.
Ghulam Muhammad Safi said that the oppressed people of Jammu and Kashmir are committed to freedom despite all the atrocities, oppression, massacres and imprisonment of leaders and workers by India. The issues of Palestine and Kashmir are a debt on the neck of the Islamic world and the international community.
Liaqat Baloch contacted Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman on telephone and condoled over target killing of Maulana Mirza Jan, the leader of JUI Waziristan. Maulana Fazlur Rahman said that no one is safe in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, especially the merged districts, and there is no government writ anywhere. He said innocent leaders are being targeted in different districts every day.
