Only economically & politically strong Pakistan could guarantee solution of Kashmir dispute: Dr. Ghulam Nabi Fai
RAWALAKOT, May 17 (SABAH): Renowned ambassador of the Kashmir Freedom Movement and Secretary General of the World Kashmir Awareness Forum in Washington, Dr. Ghulam Nabi Fai has said that for sorting out Kashmir there is need of strong Pakistan in terms of its economy and politics as economically and politically weak Pakistan could not play role at international level for solution of Kashmir dispute.
At present only strongly countries in terms of their economy and technology could play a decisive role at diplomatic fronts. He was addressing a round table conference under the title of “Current Situation of Kashmir and Future Strategy” held under the auspices of Institute of Peace and Development INSPAD here on Friday.
The conference was held under the chairmanship of commissioner Poonch Division Sardar Waheed Khan whereas it was participated by former judges, bureaucrats, professors, representatives of civil society, journalists and people from other walks of life.
At the start of conference, president of the organization informed the participants of motif of holding round table conference and current situation of freedom movement of Kashmir. He also shed light on role of Dr Fai and his organization regarding freedom movement of Kashmir.
Dr Fai said the region where this conference is being held has a lot of sacrifices and in future people are eying this region for presenting sacrifices. In the current situation, he said we have to use wisdom to take this movement forward and gain the support of the world.
In the second session of the conference, the participants gave their suggestions for future strategy. The commissioner Poonch Division thanked the guests and said luckily such personalities are present among us who represented Kashmir for several decades. During the program, INSPAD also gave peace awards to several individuals.
