Ongoing development projects initiated by Federal govt in Sindh will be completed at the earliest: PM Shehbaz
ISLAMABAD, Mar 16 (SABAH): Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif says the Federation and provinces will have to work together for welfare of the masses.
He expressed these views while meeting with Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, who called on him in Islamabad on Thursday.
Overall political situation of the country besides issues related to Sindh province came under discussion in the meeting.
The Prime Minister said ongoing development projects initiated by the Federal government in Sindh will be completed at the earliest.
He said Thar Coal project will not only meet the country’s energy needs but it will also open new avenues for development in the region.
Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Ahsan Iqbal Chaudhry and Minister for Economic Affairs Sardar Ayaz Sadiq were also present in the meeting.
Meanwhile Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC), General Sahir Shamshad Mirza called on Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif in Islamabad on Thursday.
During the meeting, they discussed professional matters of the armed forces of Pakistan.
Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has said that development and welfare of Balochistan is among the top priorities of the federal government.
He was talking to Governor Balochistan Malik Abdul Wali Kakar, who called on him in Islamabad on Thursday.
Besides overall political situation of the country, the administrative matters of Balochistan province also came under discussion during the meeting.
The Prime Minister said Pakistan progress is incomplete without the development of Balochistan.
Meanwhile Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has expressed deep grief and sorrow over the loss of precious lives due to flood caused by torrential rains in Turkiye.
In a statement, the Prime Minister expressed solidarity with the government and people of Turkiye.
He said the government and people of Pakistan stand with the government and people of Turkiye in these testing times and will help Turkiye in all possible ways.
The Prime Minister also expressed sympathy and condolence with the families of those who died in the floods and prayed for high ranks of the deceased in the heaven and patience to the family to bear this loss.
