One-day long Disaster Responder Vehicle Training Workshop held under Alkhidmat’s Disaster Management Program
LAHORE, July 26 (SABAH): One-day long Disaster Responder Vehicle Training Workshop was held under Alkhidmat Foundation’s Disaster Management Program to impart training of using Disaster Responder Vehicle in the rescue and relief activities.
In the workshop, instructors gave training of taking precautionary measures to tackle with accidents, use of tools of responder vehicle, rope rescue, flood management, first aide and basic life support training to the volunteers.
Vice President Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan Syed Ihsanullah Waqas, Program Manager Asif Jamal and 40 volunteers of Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan, Alkhidmat Central Punjab and Alkhidmat Lahore attended the workshop.
Addressing on the occasion, Syed Ihsanullah Waqas said that volunteers had to be equipped with the state-of-the-art skills to improve performance so that they could be prepared to tackle with any emergency situation. He further said that Disaster Management Program is an identity of the Alkhidmat Foundation.
In any untoward situation, he said the volunteers of Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan play a leading role while assisting their brothers and sisters; however, it is a fact that natural calamities could not be thwarted but the intensity of losses could be decreased to some an extent.
Syed Ihsanullah Waqas remarked, “Objective of Alkhidmat Disaster Responder Vehicle is to improve rescue and relief system. Alkhidmat while taking practical measures is imparting complete training of rescue and relief activities to the volunteers so that they could save precious lives in any untoward incident by providing timely assistance as well as keeping themselves safe.”
