On the call of Hamas, ‘Gaza Million March’ held at the Shahrah-e-Faisal; US & Israel condemned  

KARACHI, Jan 14 (SABAH): On the call of Hamas Chief Ismail Haniyeh to Muslims of the world after passage of 100 days of Israel terrorism against Palestinians and expressing solidarity with Tehreek-e-Muzahmat Hamas, “Gaza Million March” was held on Shahrah-e-Faisal on Sunday wherein hundreds and thousands of people from different  walks of life from the city participated.

In the march, religious scholars, lawyers, doctors, engineers, students, businessmen and people from civil society participated in a majority of number.

While telephonic address to the march, Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Sirajul Haq said, “I pay rich tribute to historical million march. With this big march, Karachiites have conveyed a message that they are awaking.” He further stressed upon the people to reject the coward rulers and favour Jamaat-e-Islami’s elections symbol “scale” for assisting Palestinians, release of Dr. Aafia Siddiqui and for better future of their children. He said the masses should elect audacious and honest leadership of Jamaat-e-Islami.

He further said that only Jamaat-e-Islami could resolve their issues, adding it could become voice of Ummah across the world. In Gaza, children and women are being martyred, he said and added 58 Muslim countries should have stood up for Muslims of Gaza and Palestine but sadly rulers of Islamic countries including the United National are totally silent. When the US and Europe can stand up with Israel then why rulers of Islamic world are completely silent, he questioned.

He said Jamaat-e-Islami has taken up its voice for Muslims of Gaza and Palestine since October 7. He said Jamaat-e-Islami also took up its voice at international level while meetings with ambassadors of several countries.

On the occasion, Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi, Engineer Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said, “I pay tributes to passion of millions of men, women and children for their participation in the march. We will do whatever we might do while being here. We would support Hamas. We would boycott products of Israel and the US.  This is our message that we have not forgotten the people of Gaza. We are remembering them even during the elections and showing solidarity with them.”

He said the masses should ask the rulers and ruling parties to support people of Gaza and Palestine if they want vote during the elections and condemn the US and Israel. “We don’t forget people of Gaza in any corner meeting and elections drive. The parties which term them national parties they don’t condemn Israel and seeing towards the US for coming into power. People of Pakistan will not forgive such parties which don’t condemn Israel and the US and support Hamas,” he added. He said that Israel has been strengthened by the US, British, Europe and coward Muslim leaders, and added if the rulers of the Islamic world had taken initiative in this regard then even a single child of Gaza had not been martyred.
