On Nov 19 during Gaza March residents of Lahore, people from across country would assure Palestinians that they are standing with them: Ameerul Azim

LAHORE, Nov 16 (SABAH): Secretary General Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Ameerul Azim chaired a meeting at Mansoorah with regard to arrangements for Gaza March. On appeal of Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Sirajul Haq, an historic march would be held on next Sunday in Lahore.

Ameerul Azeem said that on November 19, through march residents of Lahore and people across the country would assure the Palestinians that they are standing with them. In the march, particular arrangements are being made for women and families and it is most likely that from Lahore, women and children would become part of the march.

He further said the teachers and students would also join the march. He said owners of private schools have also announced to actively participate in the march. He said they formed committees regarding media management, cleanliness, provision of water and participated in other managerial matters.

Afterwards Secretary Information Qaisar Sharif presided over a media committee meeting wherein a number of assignments were given to the relevant individuals.

Meanwhile, a meeting of Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Central Punjab Muhammad Javed Kasuri was held with religious scholars of different mosques of the provincial capital. Javed Kasuri said that religious scholars will deliver particular lectures in mosques of Lahore and other big cities regarding the issue.

During the meeting, he said that all the scholars agreed upon a point that Gaza March to be held on Sunday will be made historic one and a precedent.

He said Israel’s attacks on Gaza proved that it is a terrorist state and added Gaza incident showed that Israel has complete support of the US in perpetrating heinous acts. He said Muslim Ummah has sentiments of resisting Israel collectively; however, Muslim leaders disappointed them. He said until and unless the Muslim rulers rely on God, Muslim Ummah will have to face the music for this.
