OIC should impose economic restrictions on India for illegal occupation of Kashmir: Sirajul Haq
ISLAMABAD, Mar 21 (SABAH): Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Sirajul Haq has demanded that Organization of the Islamic Cooperation (OIC) should impose economic restrictions on India for illegal occupation of Kashmir. He said that the Islamic world should not establish diplomatic relations with Israel until and unless Palestine issue is resolved, adding that the Islamic countries which have established relations with Israel should end these relations. He also demanded that the OIC should recognize the Afghanistan government.
This was stated by Emir JI Pakistan Sirajul Haq while addressing a press conference along with JI Azad Kashmir and occupied Kashmir leaders here in Islamabad on Monday. Naib Emir JI Pakistan Mian Muhammad Aslam, Emir JI Azad Kashmir Dr. Khalid Mahmood Khan, former emir JI Azad Kashmir Sardar Ijaz Afzal Khan, Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu and Kashmir Convener Ghulam Muhammad Safi, Director JI Foreign Affairs Department Asif Luqman Qazi, Noorul Bari, Javed Khan, Zahid Safi and other leaders were also present on the occasion.
Sirajul Haq while welcoming the meeting of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers (CFMs) in Islamabad said that Pakistani masses hoped that the OIC will become the spokesperson and supporter of the Kashmiri people while keeping itself above from the personal interests. He said that Kashmiris on this historic moment have great hopes from this conference as they are not only fighting their own war of existence but also fighting the war of the whole Muslim Ummah. He said that especially it is moral and human responsibility of the OIC and particularly it is the responsibility of the international community to put decisive diplomatic pressure on India for ending the atrocities in Kashmiri and implementation of the United Nations Resolutions.
Sirajul Haq said that the people of State of Jammu and Kashmir enjoyed the right of self-determination according to the resolutions of the United Nations Security Council. He said that the future of the State of Jammu and Kashmir will be decided through holding independent plebiscite, adding that in this regard we appreciate the resolution N0# POL 10/47 passes during the 47th meeting of the OIC CFMs in Niamey, Niger in 2020 and are hopeful that in the light of this resolution practical steps will be taken in 48th meeting of the OIC CFMs being started today (Tuesday) in Islamabad. Sirajul Haq also hailed the passage of the resolution by UN General Assembly on behalf of the OIC to observe 15th March as day against Islamophobia every year and said that now carrying out legislation against Islamophobia has become inevitable.
