October 27, 1947 was blackest, worst day of sub-continent history: Syed Salahuddin Ahmed


MUZAFFARABAD, Oct 26 (SABAH): Chief of Hizbul Mujhideen and Chairman United Jihad Council (UJC) Syed Salahuddin Ahmed has said that October 27, 1947 was the blackest and worst day of the sub-continent history. He further questioned for how long the international community would continue to see miserable condition of Kashmiris on the lines of seeing a drama.

Syed Salahuddin Ahmed expressed these views while addressing a special meeting of United Jihad Council. On October 27, 1947, Indian occupational forces illegally occupied the land of Jammu and Kashmir and forced towards slavery while snatching rights of peace loving people of Jammu and Kashmir. 

Chairman Muttahida Jihad Council Syed Salahuddin further said after occupying Dogra Raj, RSSL, VHP and other pro-Hindu attackers committed mass killing of innocent Muslims and occupied their buildings and properties.

He further said that Kashmiris have till-date have not accepted this occupational acts and forced slavery besides not accepting the armed forces occupation. Since 76 years, a well-organized resistance movement having been active to get free the occupied valley of Jammu and Kashmir which India is trying to crush since then with rigorous armed forces. 

Due to forced occupation of India, more than 2.25 million Kashmiris have been martyred, he said and added this day hundreds of women and children were beaten, especially millions of women were physically assaulted.

Syed Salahuddin Ahmed further said that these acts have been carried out against the Kashmiri people whereas on August 5, 2019, its intensity was further increased on August 6, 2019 while converting the majority areas into Muslim minority areas while Kashmiri people was further exacerbated while depriving them from their properties and lands. The resistance elements, the Kashmiri leadership were put behind the bars so that no one could take up this issue.
