NUTECH’s Remarkable success at Erasum Days: Celebrating the ‘Active’ EU project
ISLAMABAD, Oct 20 (SABAH): The National University of Technology (NUTECH) took center stage during the Erasum days Celebration, proudly showcasing the EU project “ACTIVE” – ICT Applications for sustainable environment protection. This groundbreaking initiative receives full funding from the prestigious European Union ERASUM + CBHE Horizon 2020 program. The event was graced by a number of esteemed guests comprising the chief guest, Eduard Sonea, Head of political Affairs and political counselor at the embassy of Romania in Islamabad and Lt. Gen Moazam Ejaz (Retd) Rector NUTECH.
Dr. Marium Jalal, Project Manager, briefed the audience on the “Active” project, highlighting its overarching goal to conceive and implement innovation solfor the climate crisis, harnessing an array of information and communication tools.
The chief guest Eduard Sonea eloquently emphasized the global significance of project ACTIVE, shedding light on the integral role olayed by the politehnica University of Bucharest, Romania, as a consortium partner and beneficiary of this groundbreaking endeavor. Mr. Sonea also underscored the potential for exciting future research collaboration between higher education institutions in Romania and Pakistan, igniting prospects of intellectual synergy.
The culmination of the ceremony saw the presentation of appreciation certificates to NUTECH students and faculty for their exceptional projects in the realm of climate change by Mr. Eduard and Rector NUTECH.
