Norway’s ambassador to Pakistan Per Albert holds meeting with Hafiz Naeemur Rehman, congratulates him on being elected as emir of Jamaat-e-Islami, expresses good wishes

ISLAMABAD, June 10 (SABAH): Norway’s Ambassador to Pakistan Per Albert held meeting with Emir Jamaat-e-Islami, Hafiz Naeemur Rehman in Islamabad. He congratulated him on being elected as emir of Jamaat-e-Islami and expressed good wishes for him.

He said that Jamaat-e-Islami is the most democratic party in Pakistan and its electoral system is very democratic and exemplary. Emir Jamaat-e-Islami thanked him for his arrival. The situation of Palestine and mutual issues were also discussed. The meeting continued for an hour.

Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said that Jamaat-e-Islami values Norway’s recognition of Palestine as a state. There is an urgent need to stop the genocide of Palestinians along with other countries. The international community should give women, children and youth the right to live in Palestine. The United Nations should play its role in the violation of human rights in Palestine.

Emir Jamaat-e-Islami said that the whole world should unite against the oppression of Israel. The women and children who were bombarded in Palestine should be given the right to live. In Palestine, food issues should be sorted out and health facilities should be restored.

On this occasion, Ambassador Albert thanked emir Jamaat for the invitation to the meeting and said that the Norwegian government will continue its efforts to establish peace in Palestine. The establishment of peace in Palestine is related to the peace of the world. Emir Jamaat-e-Islami and Norwegian ambassador agreed to keep in touch.
