Nobody will be allowed to harm the iron clad friendship between Pakistan & China: Bilawal
KARACHI, May 14 (SABAH): Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has emphatically stated that nobody will be allowed to harm the iron clad friendship between Pakistan and China.
Addressing a memorial service held for victims of Karachi University terrorist attack in Islamabad on Saturday, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said we fully condemn this cowardly act and we will never forgive the enemies of Pakistan-China all weather cooperative strategic partnership. He said that the sacrifice of both Chinese and Pakistanis in nurturing our bonds of brotherhood will not be in vain.
Expressing his anguish and shock over the Karachi incident in which three Chinese teachers were killed, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said we will not rest till the perpetrators of this heinous act are given exemplary punished. He said this was an attack on Pakistan-China friendship and will not be tolerated. Bilawal Bhutto said that we will always cherish and honor the sacrifices that have enabled us to forge a community of shared future from a new era.
Bilawal Bhutto said these Chinese teachers were pursuing the noble mission to educate our students in Chinese language and building bridges between our two peoples. He said the sacrifices of both Chinese and Pakistanis in nurturing our bonds of brotherhood will not go in vain. He said we will continue to cherish and honor the sacrifices that have enabled us to forge a community of shared future in new era.
Bilawal Bhutto reaffirmed Pakistan’s determination to ensure safety and security of the Chinese friends. Bilawal Bhutto said that we will not rest until we will give exemplary punishment to the perpetrators of this heinous act. The Foreign Minister said the all-weather strategic cooperative partnership between Pakistan and China is time tested and timeless. He said as always we will face every challenge together and emerge even stronger. He said our Iron brotherhood will continue to grow.
Bilawal Bhutto said that everybody knows that the friendship between Pakistan and China is not only between the state of Pakistan and state of China but this friendship is also between the people of Pakistan and China. He said that the terrorism incident has occurred on Pakistani soil and on the capital of province of Sindh, Karachi, adding that the terrorist attack was carried out on the pretext of the rights of the our Baloch brothers. Bilawal Bhutto said that every Pakistani is proud of his hospitality, adding that the international world also knew that how much Pakistanis give importance in looking after their guests. He said that not a single Pakistani including Sindhi and Baloch could tolerate such terrorist attack on our friends. He said that Pakistanis have faced terrorism. Bilawal Bhutto said that this attack is not only carried out on the individuals but this attack is also carried out on Pakistan and China friendship.
Bilawal Bhutto said that we should have to jointly ensure that we will not tolerate such kind of terrorist incidents, adding that we being a nation not only will compete this but also go after them and will ensure that justice is done with the families of the people killed in Karachi terrorist incident and justice is also ensured to the Pakistani people and we should make the responsible of this terrorist incident an example who attacked our guests. He said that Pakistan could never tolerate this. Bilawal Bhutto said that we will show the world that those who want to carryout such attack on Pakistan and China friendship could never succeed.
In his remarks, Foreign Secretary Sohail Mahmood said Pakistan and China relationship has grown from strength to strength despite changes on the global and regional landscape. He said Pakistan and China always stood by each other and overcame challenges with solidarity and mutual support. He said we will defeat terrorism whilst working together in the same spirit of mutual trust and close collaboration.
Chinese Charge D’Affaires Pang Chunxue, in her remarks, stated the Chinese killed in Karachi University attack were the cultural ambassadors between Pakistan and China, and their remarkable achievements will be written in the history of this friendship.
She said we will work with Pakistan to conduct a thorough investigation into the incident to bring the perpetrators to justice.
She said China and Pakistan all weather friendship is deeply rooted in the hearts of our two peoples. She said iron clad friendship between Pakistan and China is unbreakable.
Pang Chunxue said her country will continue to support socio economic development of Pakistan. She said any attempt to undermine the two countries mutual trust and cooperation and the construction of CPEC is doomed to fail.
