No Indian court or assembly can decide the future of the Kashmiris: Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar


MUZAFFARABAD, Dec 15 (SABAH): Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar has said Kashmir has never been and will never be part of India.

Addressing a news conference in Muzaffarabad on Friday, Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar said the resolution of Jammu and Kashmir dispute lies only in plebiscite in accordance with the UN Security Council Resolutions. He said no Indian court or assembly can decide the future of the Kashmiris.

The Prime Minister said India’s illegal and unilateral actions in illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir have only further given stimulation to the Kashmiri freedom struggle. He said the Indian stance on Kashmir has not been accepted by the world community.

Paying tributes to the sacrifices of Kashmiri people, the Prime Minister said India cannot suppress the big cause of Kashmiri people for their right to self-determination.

Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar said we consider the residents of Indian illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) as the potential citizens of Pakistan. He said we will not allow the trampling of their rights.

Alluding to his detailed consultative meeting with the Kashmiri leadership in Muzaffarabad, the Prime Minister said it has been decided that another round of talks will be held in Islamabad. He said there will be regular contacts with the Kashmiri leadership in order to present the stance of oppressed Kashmiri people more effectively at the world level. He said Pakistan will advocate for the rights of Kashmiri people at the forefront.

Responding to a question, Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar assured to fully support Azad Kashmir government in completion of ongoing projects and initiation of new ones. For this purpose, he said a cabinet committee has also been constituted.

Meanwhile Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar has reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to stand shoulder to shoulder with the Kashmiri people.

Chairing a special meeting of Azad Jammu and Kashmir cabinet in Muzaffarabad on Friday, he said Jammu and Kashmir is an internationally recognized dispute and India cannot get away through its usurping tactics.

The Prime Minister and Cabinet of Azad Jammu and Kashmir thanked the Prime Minister for his expression of solidarity with the Kashmiri people in the wake of Indian Supreme Court’s endorsement of India’s illegal and unilateral actions regarding the status of Jammu and Kashmir.

The AJK Prime Minister said Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar has won the hearts of Kashmiris on both sides of line of control.

The cabinet members said the courageous stand of the Prime Minister has created a new ray of hope among the Kashmiris.

Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar assured to address all the problems of Azad Jammu and Kashmir especially the financial ones.

He said the federal government will provide all possible support and assistance for the construction of Shounter Tunnel, Murree-Muzaffarabad Expressway and Mansehra-Muzaffarabad-Mangla- Mirpur Expressway.

The Prime Minister also emphasized for exploiting the tourism potential of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

Meanwhile Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar has strongly condemned the terrorist attacks on the police lines in Tank and the joint check post of Police and Frontier Corps in Khyber district.

In a statement, the Prime Minister paid tribute to the security personnel for foiling the big plan of terrorists in the Tank police lines.

He reaffirmed Pakistan’s firm commitment in the fight against terrorism saying this war will continue until the complete elimination of the scourge. He said the entire nation pays homage to the brave personnel of the security forces who laid down their lives for the security of the country.

 

Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar said the brave people of Pakistan are standing by their security forces in this war against terrorism.
