NIT authorities instruct students to vacate hostels in Srinagar
SRINAGAR, Nov 30 (SABAH): The National Institute of Technology, Hazratbal, Srinagar, has instructed all students to vacate hostels with immediate effect.
According to media reports, the instructions, the authorities said, are being made in pursuance of declaration of winter vacations.
It is to be mentioned here that the students at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) in Hazratbal area of Srinagar held a massive demonstration on Tuesday after an Indian student, studying at the institute, posted a derogatory video clip on social media about the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
Meanwhile, a complete shutdown will be observed in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir on Friday against the posting of the blasphemous video. The call for the shutdown has been given by All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) and supported by United (Muttahida) Jihad Council.
