Nine terrorists killed during combing & clearance operation at Pakistan Air Force Training Airbase Mianwali: ISPR
RAWALPINDI/ISLAMABAD, Nov 04 (SABAH): Nine terrorists have been killed during combing and clearance operation at Pakistan Air Force Training Airbase Mianwali.
According to the ISPR, the successful operation was launched by security forces to eliminate any potential threat in the surrounding area following the cowardly and failed terrorist attack on the base this morning.
No functional operational assets of the PAF were harmed, with only minimal damage sustained by the three already phased out non-operational aircraft during the attack.
The ISPR, in its statement, stated that the prompt and professional conclusion of the operation serves as a stark reminder to all enemies of peace that Pakistan’s Armed Forces remain vigilant and are fully capable of defending the homeland from any threat.
According to ISPR, on 04 November, 2023, in the early hours of the day, Mianwali Training Air Base of Pakistan Air Force came under a failed terrorist attack which, Alhumdolliah, due to the swift and effective response by the troops, has been foiled and thwarted, ensuring the safety and security of personnel and assets.
ISPR said that Pakistan Armed Forces remain committed to eliminating menace of terrorism from the country at all costs.
Meanwhile President Dr Arif Alvi has strongly condemned the attack on the convoy of Pakistan Army in Gwadar. In a statement, he said terrorists are enemies of Pakistan and efforts will continue for their complete elimination.
He said we stand by the armed forces to completely eliminate the scourge of terrorism. He paid tributes to the martyrs.
President Dr. Arif Alvi also denounced the attack on the training air base in Mianwali. He expressed satisfaction on the foiling of the terrorist attack.
Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar says any attempt to undermine the country’s security will meet with unwavering resistance.
In a tweet on Saturday, he said the valiant Pakistan Air Force has once again proven its mettle by thwarting a cowardly terrorist attack in Mianwali.
The Prime Minister said the nation stands with the armed forces and salutes their courage and resolve.
Meanwhile Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President and former prime minister Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has also strongly condemned the cowardly terrorist attack on the Pakistan Air Force base in Mianwali. Salute our security forces for their swift action, preventing casualties and foiling evil plans of our enemies, he said.
In a statement issued on twitter on Saturday, Shehbaz Sharif said that these repeated attacks reveal our enemies’ desperation, but we stand resilient. Our forces are vigilant, united to defeat terrorism, he said. “We’re determined to preserve peace and stability. Prayers for the affected families and our brave security personnel” Shehbaz Sharif said.
