Nine million special persons need special attention of govt & society: Hafiz Naeemur Rehman
LAHORE, Dec 01, (SABAH): Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Engineer Hafiz Naeemur Rehman nine million special persons need special attention of government and society. He said that many times the legislation was done for the special persons but it was not implemented. He said that the jobs should be given to the special persons in government departments on quota, adding that the special persons are our family and our society should look after them.
This was stated by Hafiz Naeemur Rehman while addressing a big gathering of disabled courageous persons held at Mansoorah by Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan. Emir JI Lahore Ziauddin Ansari, Secretary Information JI Qaiser Sharif, Vice Presidents of Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan Dr. Muhammad Mushtaq Ahmed Mangat, Zikrullah Mujahid, President Alkhidmat Foundation Lahore Engineer Hammad Rashid and other office-bearers were also present on the occasion. During the ceremony wheel-chairs were distributed among the disabled persons and sticks and gifts were distributed among the blind persons. Hafiz Naeemur Rehman appreciated organizing different ceremonies under the aegis of Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan in connection with international day of disabled and courageous persons.
Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said that we have named the disabled persons as courageous persons and we will call them with this name because the special persons are the segment of our society that are an example due to their courage and determination. Hafiz Naeemur Rehman said that steps of Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan for the courageous persons are appreciable. He said that all institutions of the country should be friendly towards special persons and facilities should be provided to them so that their difficulties could be decreased.
Haifz Naeemur Rehman said that currently there are 1.3 billion disabled courageous people present in the world, out of them 93 million are children, adding that this community of 16 percent of the total population of the world need our attention. He said that there is no verified data of disabled courageous persons present in Pakistan; however according to an estimate over 9 million people are disabled in Pakistan.
Meanwhile for expressing solidarity and creating awareness among the masses the walk was also organized at the end of the ceremony.
