ISLAMABAD, Feb 09 (SABAJH): Newly elected government at the Centre would present its first budget for fiscal year 2024-25 in first week of the June 2024.
According to the Budget Call Circular 2024-25 released here on Friday, Ministry of Finance said that newly elected federal cabinet in center would approve the federal budget in the morning and elected finance minister of the would present the budget in the evening in the national assembly the same day.
According to the budget preparation schedule issued by the ministry, National Economic Council headed by newly elected Prime Minister and elected four provincial chief ministers to approve the National Development Outlay 2024-25 including Macro-Economic Frame work, Federal Public Sector Development Program, All Four Provincial Government Annual Development Plan in third week of the May. Annual Plan Coordination Committee (APPCC) headed by Planning and Development Minister to approve the recommendations of the Macro-Economic Frame work, Federal Public Sector Development Program, All Four Provincial Government Annual Development Plan in first week of the 2024.
Important Budget Strategy Paper (BSP) to be approved by the Finance Division on April 2024 and would be prepared on the recommendations of the International Monetary Fund. Preparation of Medium-Term National Macroeconomic and Fiscal Framework to be completed in 3rg week of the march 2024. The elected government to start the budget making exercise from March 11, 2024.
