Newly appointed Ambassador of Pakistan to Turkiye, Dr. Yousaf Junaid presents his credentials to President Recep Tayyip Erdogan


ANKARA, Dec 01, (SABAH): The newly appointed Ambassador of Pakistan to Turkiye, Dr. Yousaf Junaid presented his credentials to President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

As a corollary to the credential ceremony, the ambassador visited the mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk on Thursday to pay respect and tribute to the great statesman, reformer and founder of the Republic of Turkiye.

As a part of the official ceremony, the ambassador accompanied by family and embassy officers laid wreath on Ataturk’s tomb. After wreath laying, the ambassador recorded his remarks in the guest book. He wrote: ‘It is a great honour to pay my respects to the great Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, a visionary leader, an extraordinary statesman, a gifted military strategist, and above all the founder of modern Türkiye. His legacy of standing firm against all odds and oppression continues to inspire not only the Turks but all freedom-loving people across the globe.

Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan, described Ataturk as the greatest man of the age. While I pray that his soul rest in eternal peace, I also pray for continued prosperity of the brotherly people of Turkiye. Pakistan Turkiye Brotherhood Zindabad. Yasasin Pakistan Turkiye Kardesligi!’
