National interest must be above politics & anyone who speaks against the country’s interest is an enemy of Pakistan: Attaullah Tarar
ISLAMABAD, April 18 (SABAH): Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar Advocate has deplored PTI’s practice of giving statements against national interest.
Talking to media persons in Islamabad on Thursday, Attaullah Tarar said national interest must be above politics and anyone who speaks against the country’s interest is an enemy of Pakistan.
The Minister said the government is augmenting relations with all friendly countries and they are responding us with the same gesture. He said many countries are extending support and showing keen interest for investment in Pakistan.
Meanwhile Attaullah Tarar says the government has unwavering commitment for technology enhancement and promote public-private partnership.
Addressing a summit in Islamabad on Thursday, he said the Special Investment Facilitation Council has been established with the aim to attract foreign investment in the country. The Minister said the establishment of Special Investment Facilitation Council is in the interest of the country and the government is providing all facilities to the investors.
He said with the fifth largest country in the world, Pakistan has been blessed with a lot of natural resources and our biggest resource is human resource.
He stressed the need to utilizing and marketing of this great human resource at international level.
The Minister also emphasized public private partnership for encouraging investment in the country saying that the Federal Cabinet in its meeting chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has already accorded approval to Public Private Partnership Policy Framework to facilitate foreign investment.
He said the international financial institutions and journals have appreciated and predicted a significant growth and improvement in Pakistan economy.
The Minister said Pakistan produces approximately fifty thousand engineering and IT graduates annually and they are well place globally.
He said the semi-conductor industry has worth of 550 billion dollars currently and there is huge potential for Pakistan to deploy its human resource in this industry.
He urged the participant companies to come up with tangible proposal for chip designing and semi-conductor industry.
