National economy was sinking due to political turmoil, anarchy & extremism: Liaqat Baloch
LAHORE, May 17 (SABAH): Deputy Chief of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan and Secretary General Milli Yakjehti Council Liaqat Baloch in a meeting with the President of Jamiat-e-Ittehad-ul-Ulema Maulana Abdul Malik, Maulana Mehboob-ur-Rehman and other Ulema said that Ulema will have to adopt and stick to the Seerah of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). Allama Iqbal and Quaid-e-Azam (the founder of Pakistan) have shown the way to become a self-reliant, independent and dignified nation by adhering to Islamic ideology and principles.
Liaqat Baloch said that duplicity, hypocrisy and deception, wreak havoc on individual and collective life. From the Menbar o Mehrab, the message of moral supremacy, mutual respect, tolerance and let-live must be spread among the people. The people should be prepared for the fact that the solution to the crises of the country and the nation lies in Nizam-e-Mustafa. Decision on trust, honesty and competence is the effective weapon of the people. In the past, the consensus of the great scholars on 22 points is a national asset.
Meanwhile in a meeting with Jamaat-e-Islami North Punjab leaders Muhammad Iqbal Khan, Russell Babar and Nasrullah Randhawa, Liaqat Baloch said that the national economy was sinking due to political turmoil, anarchy and extremism. The common man has become destitute, the national leadership is at loggerheads. Debt, corruption, destruction of the interest-based economic system has affected every household. It is the responsibility of the coalition government to rectify the mistakes of the past. The Shahbaz Sharif government does not have an indefinite time, the deadline could expire at any time.
Liaqat Baloch said that Shahbaz Sharif, Asif Zardari, Maulana Fazlur Rehman and allies should accept this challenge. Pave the way for national dialogue on national priorities, interior, foreign policy and overcoming the economic crisis. A national consensus policy should be formulated. Electoral reforms, electoral process on the basis of proportional representation should be the priority of the government. Except for early elections, every path will add to the defects. Jamaat-e-Islami will continue its struggle for elections based on the promotion of ethics, tolerance and mutual respect in national politics and electoral reforms and proportional representation.
